Do you find yourself in an emotional place you never imagined you would be? Are you struggling with sadness or worry, having difficulty concentrating, or feeling like your emotions are out of your control? These feelings may result from more acute issues, like the break up of a relationship or loss of a job, or more ongoing circumstances, such as poor work performance, difficulties with relationships, or early childhood traumatic experiences.
My approach to psychotherapy combines cognitive and behavioral techniques in order to help an individual modify their thinking patterns and aspects of the environment, allowing for emotional and behavioral changes. Psychotherapy can focus on working with a person to assist them in recognizing and strengthening existing tools and developing new tools to think in healthier ways, feel better, act differently, and make more effective choices.
